January is National Bath Safety Month!

Did you know that January has been designated National Bath Safety Month? This a great time of year to think about how safe your bathroom is, and to consider making some renovations to help prevent accidental falls.  If you missed our previous post on bathroom falls and injuries data and statistics, its got some great information and links on how dangerous the bathroom can be, especially as we get older.

If you are interested in replacing a traditional bathtub/shower with a low threshold or barrier free shower, Best Bath Systems manufactures a complete line of single- and multi-piece shower units to suit any size and type of project, from a home remodel to a new assisted living facility. We also offer a wide range of bathroom accessories, including grab bars and shower seats.

Happy National Bath Safety Month from Best Bath Systems!

Best Bath Systems Testimonials

Here are a couple testimonials from some recent projects Best Bath has been involved with.  Thank you for the very kind and generous words!

“In researching shower compartments for use at the Weber State University Residential Life Building, I found that no other manufacturer could provide a product equivalent to the Best Bath Systems product. Best Bath provides superior construction engineering, construction materials, and custom design options. The Best Bath product is sure to meet or exceed the expectations of any project owner.”

“Just a note to tell you both how great the Best Bath Systems showers at Buena HA look and are working out. The HA and I are pleased with all of the aspects of the showers. They make us all look marvelous!”

Best Bath Systems Hosts Dealer Days Training and Marketing Event

Best Bath Systems is hosting dozens of authorized dealers from around the country for two days of training and networking on September 16th and 17th, 2010. Dubbed “Dealer Days”, this event is designed around meeting the challenges of selling bathroom fixtures for new and existing residential and commercial projects.

In its seventh year, Dealer Days is the primary means for new dealers to learn composite fiberglass manufacturing processes, get hands-on sales and marketing training, and gain in-depth knowledge on succeeding in the accessible shower market.

“Our dealers are the key reason why we’ve been in business for over thirty years. That success is based on education, communication, and building relationships,” stated Jeff Mooney, Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for Best Bath.

Over 300 Best Bath Systems dealers in the United States and Canada carry our full range of low threshold and barrier free shower surrounds and walk-in tubs. Additionally, we have two sales divisions; one focused on the commercial market and the other on residential renovation.

Despite the current recession, Best Bath has shown positive growth as a result of recent housing authority stimulus-related projects. Thirty staff members have been added since July, 2010 and we posted a 20% net profit for the third financial period in a row!

The market for safe and accessible bathing products is rapidly growing. People are living longer than ever before. According to the AARP, 90% of people want to age in place, meaning they would rather live in their homes as long as possible than in an assisted living facility or with relatives. Further statistics reveal the importance of a safe bathroom environment:

  • Someone turns 50 every six seconds
  • There are 76 million baby boomers
  • 34 million people in the US are over the age of 66
  • The over-85 age group is the fastest growing segment of the population today
  • On average, 370 people sustain tub and shower-related injuries every day

Best Bath Grand Opening Video and Pictures Are Up

The new Best Bath Systems safe bathing products manufacturing plant is now operational. To celebrate this historic event for the company, we held a grand opening this past July that featured a luncheon with local business leaders, an official ribbon cutting by Mayor Garret Nancolas, and tours of the facility.

We are honored and thrilled that so many friends and colleagues came out to welcome us to Caldwell and to be part of this special occasion.

Pictures have been posted on our new Facebook page. Click here to view the photo album.

And here are two videos from the day – the first is of the ribbon cutting ceremony, and the second is City of Caldwell’s welcome reception for Best Bath that featured Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas, Gary Multanen, Idaho Senator John McGee, Scott Gipson from the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, and Steve Fultz of the Executive Director for the Caldwell/Canyon County Economic Development Council (who posted the video – thank you!)

Again, thank you for the generous welcome to Caldwell.
